Journal the First

Sun May 18, 2008, 3:36 PM
Hmm. I shall... make a journal... because I am bored and do not want to do anything useful. Reasonable enough. I mean what else is the inter-blag/blogosphere for if not procrastination and temporary escape from RL responsibilities?

The first few weeks back at university have not exactly gone as planned... not as much revision done as I'd like... erm... *triesnottouberpanic* yes... but I'm getting back into it quite well, and I now know one should proceed at university as opposed to school in terms of such things as getting a degree for the significantly more important second year (may be too late to get a first for this year :()

More interestingly, a close university friend of mine and I went to the good and green lands of the North; we met up with my friends and family and toured York - I went slightly apoplectic when I heard a tour guide claiming that the "Dark Ages" ended in the Renaissance :p - walked thew walls, spent a possibly unhealthy amount of time in that wonderful sword shop in stonegate, loled at the "maths section" of one of my favorite second-hand bookshops: 'Thermat's Last Theorem' (popmaths = ¬_¬ ), having obscene amounts of chocolate cake and Earl Grey in that splendid little tea shop on the bridge, and generally having a rather good time.
Then we returned to my house in Boston Spa, played Balderdash and the like, drank, listened to musics, sang, drank, repeated... and then in the morning I got woken up by the offer of a great big bacon sandwich of bacon-ness! I love being home... ^_^

Tomorrow (now today) I shall be seeing a hall-mate in HMS Pinafore... now to sleep then workyworkyworkywork!! Speaking of the other kind of work (the one that you get paid for, rather then that which you pay to do), I may get to work for my father for a Very agreeable rate! Heheh... Now I appear to have a cold :(
